9th humanitarian blood donation 2017 entitled “Hearts of compassion”

On August 16 morning, the 9th voluntary blood donation program entitled “Hearts of compassion” took place at the corporate meeting hall located at 326 Vo Van Kiet St., Co Giang Ward, Dist. 1, HCM City. The 3-day blood donation program, jointly held by the corporate Trade Union and Youth Union, last from August 16 to August 18 with the positive response from the parent company’s clerical trade union and subsidiary companies including the Eastern Coach Station Single-Member Co., Ltd, Ben Nghe Port Single-Member Co., Ltd, Saigon Passenger Transport Joint Stock Co., and Western Coach Station Joint Stock Co.

The blood donation days attracted more than 640 blood donors from the affiliated enterprises (250 ml of blood/person on average). According to Mr. Nguyen Chau Nghia, Chairman of the corporate trade union, this is an activity annually held by the corporation that is aimed to help support HCM City health establishments in accumulating the blood base required for their treatment work. In addition, this highly humanized action also arouses the mutual affection among the staff.

Also at this event, the organizing board commended and rewarded 6 business units with considerable contributions to the blood donation movement. Started in 2009, the blood donation program annually attracted hundreds of blood donors being SAMCO staff members.
